All portrait sessions are done on-location and in the beauty of natural lighting. On-location can be in or around your home or at a location of your choice. Parks, National Forests, downtown urban scenes are just some examples. It is important that the location have adequate natural light. For outdoor portrait sessions the light is best for photographs soon after sunrise or just before dusk. A normal portrait session lasts from 1-2 hours, longer or shorter depending on the nature of the subjects involved.
Photography is an art and we attempt to make each portrait session unique to the individual(s). We always strive to capture the true person in all our photographs! Most of our clients love our candid approach. We love what we do, as photographers, and we hope that our clients will see that love in each and every photograph we take.
How will this work?
Relax and be yourself! The best time to do children's portraits is after nap time. Newborn photos are best done within the first 2 weeks of life and from the comfort of your own home. As a previous nanny, KaeLee will do her best to woo your child with songs and games but help from the parents is always appreciated. Those natural smiles and giggles make for the best photos! Feel free to bring props that describe you. If your child has a favorite stuffed animal, hula hoop, chair, balloons, etc. We always welcome family pets to join for portrait sessions as well.
What do I wear?
Wear what you love! If you want casual, dress the kids in jeans and Power Rangers T-shirts! If you want fancy wear heels and have him wear a tie! Be you! Funky hats and scarves, "boots with the fur", leggings, poka dots, stripes and tutus are a great addition to any portrait session! When do we get to see our photos?
It will take KaeLee Denise Photography 1-2 weeks to prepare the photos from your portrait session for proofing. Once your photos are finished you will be contacted via email with a link and password to your private online proofing gallery. You will up to 6 months to view and order prints. We always keep a backup of the photos from your session, so if a year later your want prints, send us an email!
